The International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title fight between the champion, Amnat Ruenroeng, and the #1 ranked, McWilliams Arroyo, will now take place on September 10, 2014, at the Liptapanlop Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, in a Jimmy’s Boxing presentation.

“The date change (from September 14 to September 10) is due to a conflict of the Thai TV with the 2014 Asian Games program, as told to us by the Thai promoter (Jimmy’s Boxing). Now we will coordinate again all matters relating to the date on which McWilliams will travel to Thailand”, said Peter Rivera, PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) Vice-President.

Arroyo (15-1, 13 KOs), who is coming off a second round KO victory last June 19 over Froilan Saludar in an elimination bout for the first place in the IBF flyweight rankings, is a 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Puerto Rican boxer. Arroyo is also a gold medalist of the 2009 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Italy and at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Colombia and the 2007 Pan American Games in Brazil.

Ruenroeng (13-0, 5 KOs), a 2008 Olympian, won a bronze medal at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Chicago. He won the IBF flyweight title on January 22, 2014 with an unanimous decision victory over Rocky Fuentes.
