Three division champion Robert Guerrero will have been out of the ring for over 15 months when he faces Selcuk Aydin on July 28th in San Jose, California.  He hast fought on April 9, 2011 when he defeated Michael Katsidis via unanimous decision. He was scheduled to face Marcos Maidana last August when he suffered a shoulder injury during his training camp.

On a recent edition of The Boxing Lab, krikya360.com's official audio show, Guerrero told us that he isn't concerned about the possibly of ring rust and said his shoulder is fully healed as well.

"I am not worried at all. I went through a full training camp in August before I got the shoulder injury so I am feeling real good. The injury happened about a week before the fight," Guerrero stated.

Guerrero said that he welcomes the challenge climbing two weight divisions presents and said that he has a great respect for his opponent.

"He's a tough rugged guy. He's a hard puncher. He comes to fight. He's undefeated. He's 23-0 17 KO's. He wants to show the boxing world he belongs in the big fights," Guerrero said in regards to Aydin.

Guerrero is excited to finally be returning to the ring and said that he plans on putting on a show for the fans.  Guerrero-Aydin will be televised by Showtime and the WBC interim belt will go to the winner.

"Expect to see a monster in there on July 28th.  I will finally get the respect I deserve!" Guerrero predicted.
