MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former welterweight champion Carlos "El Indio" Quintana (28-3, 22KOs) was brimming with confidence when he stepped up to the dais at the Canelo Alvarez-Shane Mosley final press conference. Quintana said that he has trained hard for the fight and that he will upset his opponent, juniot middleweight Deandre Latimore (23-3, 17KOs).

"I have worked hard to get ready for this fight. I know I don't have a lot of time left in the sport so I need to win now and I will come out with a win," said the fighter of Puerto Rican descent.

Quintana already has one eye looking towards the future. He said that he respects both Alvarez and Mosley and that he wants a crack at the winner of their fight.

"Mosley is a legend in the sport. Canelo is also a great fighter. I respect both of them and after I win my fight I want to fight the winner of their fight," a confident Quintana revealed.

Quintana-Latimore opens up the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto HBO pay-per-view on Saturday night at the MGM Grand.
