The highly anticipated fight between World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Miguel ”Alacran” Berchelt, and undefeated mandatory challenger Oscar Valdez, will tentatively take place on November 7 in Las Vegas.
Berchelt, 28, with a record of 37-1 with 33 knockouts, has made six defenses of the title that he won by defeating another tough Mexican, Francisco Vargas, in January 2017, and is undoubtedly one of the busiest champions in the sport.
Valdez (27-0, 21 KOs), 29, reached the super featherweight division in 2019, after an impressive campaign at 126 pounds, where he won the WBO world title and later vacated to move up in search of a second title.
Berchelt is already warming to his his preparation task in Jiquipilco, State of Mexico, guided by his trainer Alfredo Caballero, as he plans to peak just in time for this important summit.
