The next phase in the career of Damien ‘Sugar’ Vasquez appears to be right around the corner, as the multiple national amateur champion is soon set to make his professional debut at the age of 16.

Vasquez has been putting in work at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas and will likely have his first fight sometime next month on a Golden Boy Promotions show.

There has been some serious buzz on Vasquez in the gyms for the past year and his team is eager to officially begin his professional foray.

It’s worth noting that Vasquez is the younger brother of former super bantamweight champion Israel, but he is quick to point out that he is looking to make his own name in boxing.

Expect more coverage from Vasquez in the coming weeks.
