Kissimmee, FL – One of the brightest rising stars in Puerto Rican boxing, unbeaten featherweight sensation, Christopher ‘Pitufo’ Diaz, will return to the city called ‘Little Puerto Rico’ to headline in front of his people the ‘Solo Boxeo’ card that will take place on Friday September 23 at the Silver Spurs Arena of the Osceola Heritage Park. Díaz (17-0, 11 KO’s), from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, will risk his undefeated record against his toughest opponent to date, Mexican veteran Raúl Hiráles (22-5-1, 11 KO’s) in an eight round feather weight bout that will be the main event of the card that will be presented by Top Rank in association with All Star Boxing.
“We are just weeks away of my return to Kissimmee, Florida, where I will give the best of me, like I always do,” said Diaz. “I’m super focused on continuing growing as a fighter and as a person, because I’m committed with my future,” affirmed the fighter called ‘The Son of the Mountain’. The World Boxing Organization (WBO) Youth Featherweight world champion, added: “I want to see and feel the energy of all my boricuas from Florida on September 23 in Kissimmee.”

Ricky Márquez, trainer and manager of Díaz, said: “Always happy of returning to Kissimmee where my diamonds have received a lot of support. I expect a tough test for ‘Pitufo’, but I know that he is ready to show what he is made off once again.”
In the fight that will start the television broadcast on UniMas and Univision Deportes Network, unbeaten welterweight prospect Julian ‘Hammer Hands’ Rodríguez (13-0, 10 KO’s0) from Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, will collide against Brazil’s Claudionel Lacerda (17-15-1, 12 KO’s) in an eight round rumble in the 140 pounds division.
Undefeated super bantamweight prospect Jean Carlos ‘Chapito’ Rivera (7-0, 4 KO’s) will also see action on the card.

Friday, September 23, will mark the return of live boxing to ‘Solo Boxeo’ with the simulcast of Díaz vs. Hirales and Rodriguez vs. Lacerda at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT from coast to coast in the United States on UniMás and Univision Deportes Network.
