Carlos Molina (22-5-2, 6KOs) will make the first defense of his IBF junior middleweight title on October 11th at the Oasis Hotel Complex in Cancun, Mexico. Molina will make a mandatory defense against former champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage (33-5, 19KOs). Molina was set to see action on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard in May, when he was scheduled to face Jermell Charlo, but during fight week Molina was arrested on an old warrant and later deported to Mexico. He hopes to return to the United States in the near future. Molina has been out of action since last September, when he captured his IBF title from Ishe Smith.
