Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is not paying any attention to the critics.

Last year, Parker was undefeated with a perfect 24-0 record. In 2018, he's lost two fights in back to back fashion.

In March, he lost a twelve round unanimous decision in a high stakes unification against Anthony Joshua. And then last month, Parker lost a twelve round decision to top contender Dillian Whyte.

Parker's handlers may appeal the loss to Whyte - because the referee made a knockdown call in the second round, and the video replay showed that Parker actually went down from a head clash and not a landed punch. They believe the 10-8 round prevented the contest from being scored a draw.

The critics were not happy, because they felt Parker was not aggressive enough in the contest - until the final two rounds.

He allowed Whyte to bully him and the British boxer scored a legit knockdown a few rounds later. But Parker came on in the eleventh, and then dropped and nearly stopped Whyte as time ran out in the twelfth.

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect the Prime Minister and his opinion and everyone else with their opinion, but we'll see what happens moving forward," Parker told the Samoa Observer.

"I will be fighting at the end of the year because I want to fight again and just because I lost a fight it doesn't mean it's the end of the world. These are all learning experiences and it will make me a better fighter and I want to fight soon. We haven't found a fighter yet, but like I said many times, I don't care who we fight but we want to fight anyone just as long as someone is available and keen to fight us, we will fight anyone.

"We are trying to work our way to the top again to be hopefully two time world champion and hopefully champion of the world. So I have another four years to go hard before I hang up the gloves and retire."
