Omar Juarez (15-2, 5 KOs) scored two knockdowns over Clarence Booth (21-10, 13 KOs) in the dying moments of his junior welterweight clash to score a wide points win on ProBox TV’s “Wednesday Night Fights” in Plant City, Florida.

The scorecards came in at 98-90, 98-90 and 99-89 for Juarez, earning him a unanimous decision in his ProBox TV debut.

A reasonably even opening round saw Booth push the pressure, with Juarez tending to work off the back foot. The same trend continued in the second, but it was Booth who was the more active fighter. Both men let their hands go midway through the round. Booth seemed to want to disrupt Juarez’s rhythm with his continuous change of stance, but Juarez landed multiple right hands to end the round. 

Booth’s pressure slowed in the third, but he landed a good right hand after the minute mark. Juarez came back, landing a pair of sharp right hands with a minute left.

At the start of the fourth, Booth landed big shots, unleashing a number of combinations. Moments later, Juarez connected with a smart right hand off the back foot – and landed another overhand right 30 seconds later. Booth worked the body to close out the round.

Booth began the fifth with heavy pressure, cutting off the ring and landing a number of shots to the head and body. But Juarez continued to have success with the right counterpunch, and landed a good left hook at the bell. The sixth began with more pressure from Booth, but Juarez was now standing and trading, and landed a good right to the body at the bell.

Juarez got off to a quick start in the eighth, and at this stage couldn’t miss with his right hand. He also landed a left hook at the halfway point and boxed skillfully in his best round. To open the ninth, a Juarez counter shot buzzed Booth, who recovered well. But Juarez remained in charge, landing his left hook and straight right throughout the frame.

Booth began the 10th and final round continuing to press the action, landing a good combination to the body and a right hand to the head moments later. Juarez responded with a right to the body that immediately halted Booth’s intense pressure. Then, with 45 seconds left, a clubbing overhand right sent Booth to the canvas. An almost identical shot from Juarez dropped Booth for a second time, with just over 25 seconds left. Booth got to his feet on weary legs to (barely) see out the final 10 seconds on his feet.
