Toyota Center, Houston, Texas - IBF super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (31-1, 20KOs) retained his title with an easy three round knockout over Mexican veteran and former four division beltholder Jorge Arce (61-7-2, 46KOs). Arce went down three times before the fight was waved off.

Donaire was patient early and landed quick shots on Arce. In the second round, Donaire dropped Arce with a quick right hand and then dominated the action until the bell. Arce started letting his hands go in the third, but that made Arce open himself up to the furious power of Donaire - who dropped him two more times - with the third time Arce going down on his back for the count.

Also on the card, Victor Terrazas (35-2-1) defeated Juan Ruiz (23-12) via split decision to open up the Azteca Mexico televised broadcast. The scores were 78-74 79-73 and 74-78. Terrazas had a much tougher than expected fight with the rugged Ruiz. 

Terrazas, who hails from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, had most of his success when he kept his opponent at a distance. Ruiz was able to work his way inside on several occasions and was able to land many flush shots on Terranzas. One of the judges prefered Ruiz's work on the inside while two sided with Terrazas who averted what would have amounted to a major upset.
