The exciting fighter from Arecibo, Nestor Bravo (18-0, 13 KOs), will have the opportunity to show the world his boxing skills, on Wednesday, September 23 in the city of Los Angeles, California.
The event being promoted by ‘Premier Boxing Champions’ (PBC), will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and FOX Deportes, from the Microsoft Theater.
Nicknamed “The Bravest” and having a history with the Latin crown of the World Boxing Council at 135 pounds, he will compete in the featured fight against tough Mexican boxer Jose Luis Gallegos (19-8, 14 KOs), in a card agreed upon for ten rounds at the maximum weight of 137 pounds.
“We know that they want to test me with a fierce Mexican, who takes punches, throws without stopping and was able to send Erick de León to the canvas with a good shot. My approach is to show the PBC executives and the fans that I am ready for precisely these scenarios,” said Bravo, who, in turn, has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.
The training was not an impediment despite the COVID-19 pandemic:
“We were trained in a private gym with the help of my trainer José Bonilla. Thank God the sparring was of quality with former world champions Jose Pedraza and Javier Fortuna. Prospects Orlando Gonzalez, Luis Valentin, among others, also helped me. I take every fight very seriously and we are well prepared and motivated for California on September 23.”
