Joseph Parker has again been asked to help out heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in the lead up to his title defence against Tyson Fury in Germany on October 24.

Klitschko previously called on Parker this year to spar against him  in preparation for his title defence against Bryant Jennings in New York in April.

Parker confirmed an approach has been made by Klitschko's team for another potential stint as a sparring partner for the Ukrainian.

Wladimir Klitschko defends his heavyweight titles against unbeaten British challenger Tyson Fury in October.

"From what I know there has been offers for us to go over there and help, but we just have to sit down as a team and see if it is going suit the schedule we have for the rest of the year," Parker said.

Parker will fight in Invercargill on Saturday night followed by bouts in Auckland and Hamilton before the end of the year.

A January 24 bout in Samoa is being planned and then there is the potential to have one more  fight in New Zealand, before starting a campaign in the United States.

Meanwhile, Bowie Tupou says he is ready to burst the bubble of New Zealand's leading heavyweight boxer.

Tupou  takes on Parker in Invercargill on Saturday night.

The 32-year-old Tongan-born Australian has had 28 bouts for 25 wins with 17 of them coming by way of knockout.

Despite his experience in the heavyweight division, as expected all the pre-fight hype has been about Parker.

Parker is regarded as one of the most exciting young heavyweights coming through along with Britain's Anthony Joshua.

Even Tupou's trainer has marvelled at Parker's hand speed in the lead up to the fight, and not surprisingly the majority of New Zealand is after a convincing Parker win on Saturday night in Invercargill.

Tupou says he is more than happy to play the role of villain and hose down the hype around Parker by beating him on his own turf.

"The fight is in New Zealand and I am always the underdog, and I don't mind that," he said.

"The pressure is on him, it is not on me. But I want to win this fight, I would love to win this fight.

"I know a lot of people are going to dislike me winning this fight, [but] that is part of the sport. You win some, you lose some.";
