Kevin Mitchell is hoping to avenge his sole career defeat by targeting a rematch with Michael Katsidis.
The Dagenham lightweight has not fought since he was destroyed inside three rounds by the Australian at Upton Park in May.
The 26-year-old underwent surgery on an eye injury following the bout and now plans to return in the spring before attempting to secure a showdown with either unbeaten EBU champion John Murray or face Katsidis for a second time.
"I had an eye injury before the Katsidis fight and thought it was ok, but it came back during the fight and I split my eye muscle, I had the operation done and hope to be back in March after getting my license back," said Mitchell on the Main Event Radio Show.
"John Murray would be a good domestic fight and could fill any stadium," added the former British and Commonwealth featherweight champion.
"We could do it in Birmingham, meet each other halfway, but the one I really want is Katsidis back."
