Citizens Business Bank Arena, Ontario, California - Keith Thurman (19-0, 18KOs) stopped former welterweight champion Carlos Quintana (29-4, 23KOs) in the fourth round of an NABO junior middleweight title fight.
Thurman was pressing the action in the first round, with Quintana looking for counters. In the final twenty seconds, a hard hook to the body sent Quintana down to his knees. He barely beat the count. In the second, Quintana was doing a lot of moving and may have been killing some time to recover from that earlier shot to the body. Thurman finally caught up with Quintana in the fourth, landing several hard hooks and beating him around the ring until the referee had finally seen enough and jumped in to save Quintana.
