The planned October card is starting to take shape. Roman "Rocky" Martinez, the former junior lightweight champion of the WBO, has advised krikya360.com that he reached a two-year promotional agreement with Top Rank and his first fight will be on October 1 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

As previously reported, the main event will feature the return of the former WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez, and Mike Oliver is being mentioned as a possible opponent. Additionally, former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez Jr. would face Jonathan Oquendo in a final WBO super bantamweight eliminater.

"I will fight on October 1st, here in Puerto Rico, [with] Juanma fighting [on the show] and Jonathan going against Papito Vazquez. We reached a two-year agreement with Top Rank and our plans are to fight in October and December, and in 2012 we'll fight again for the title," Martinez said.

And when Martinez, who has a track record of 24-1 with 15 knockouts, appears in Puerto Rico for his next two fights, they will be promoted by PR Best Boxing Promotions.

"I want to regain the championship and I'll fight with Ricky Burns or whoever is champion at that time. I will come with everything," he said.
