Jack Bateson ensured it was a successful return to the ring after he extended his unbeaten record with an impressive performance on Sunday.
Leeds hero Bateson (12-0, 3 KOs) was in action at Hangar 34 in Liverpool, taking on previously undefeated Matt Craddock (2-1).
It was a brilliant showing from Bateson throughout the fight, dominating the action across all six rounds on his way to a 60-54 points verdict on the referee’s scorecard.
The win over Craddock means that Bateson adds a stellar win to his record, following wins over the likes of Khvicha Gigolashvaili, Bayardo Ramos and Pablo Narvaez.
It was Bateson’s first fight since September 2019, and the 26-year-old is now keen to kick on and go from strength to strength in his career in the near future.
King Carlos Promotions presented a card from Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, following all sanitary measures respecting government protocols and the World Boxing Council.
In the main event Carlos “King” Molina (33-11-2, 12 KOs) defeated Hector Manuel Zepeda (19-2-0, 5 KOs) by TKO in the sixth round in a middleweight bout. The fight started out being very competitive, but as the rounds passed, Molina imposed his will using his experience.
In a super lightweight battle, Adrian “Diamante” Estrella (30-5, 24 KOs) defeated Guadalupe “Bronco” Rosales (38-27, 20 KOs). WBC International Champion Jaky Calvo (13-5-2,1 KO), defeated Eloisa Martinez (2-10-3) at bantamweight in a competitive fight. North American Russell Fiore (24-3-1, 17 Kos) was beaten by undefeated Mexican knockout Cristian Santiago Vázquez (15-0-1, 14 Kos).
