Filipino Jhon "Disaster" Gemino (19-11-1, 9 KO's) connected a wild left hook on Carlos "Chinito" Ornelas (23-2-0, 12 KO's) to effectively knock him out at 42 seconds of the seventh round in what was the stellar fight in the Tijuana Events Center.

The card was promoted by Promociones Zanfer as part of an Azteca 7 broadcast.

The fight was exciting where Ornelas pressed the action on the Filipino, who was pressed against the ropes and punished ;by the two hands of the "Chinito".

On several occasions Carlos had badly stunned Gemino, who throughout the fight was hunting the attacks with counters until he landed in that fateful seventh round which caused great surprise.

The fight that met the predictions of stealing the show was Mexican Maximino "Max" Flores (25-4-2, 17 KO's) and the international champion, American Dewayne Beamon (17-1-2, 11 KO's), that ended in a draw after eight intense rounds of many exchange of punches in the center of the ring.

From the first to the last round both fighters were head to head throwing punishment to two hands, it was a fight of alternate domains, but they never stopped connecting.

The cards of the judges were: 78-73 and two cards 76-76 in a majority draw.

Beamon ended up badly damaged from his left eye, while Flores from his right cheekbone.

Sergio "Chirino" Sánchez (11-0, 6 ko's) won by technical knockout with strong Tijuana fighter Julio Alberto "Sexy Boy" Robles (15-10-2, 4 ko's) at 2:42 of the fifth round. A dangerous cut of Robles in his left eyelid prevented the fight from going any further.

In a big stunner Gabriela "Bonita" Sánchez (7-2-0) gave the surprise of the night by winning a unanimous decision over six rounds to remove the undefeated record of Paulette "Heiress" Valenzuela (8-1-0, 3 ko's) in a fight at bantamweight.
