A member of Team Fury has reiterated to BoxingScene that world heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 Kos) is still negotiating his contractually stipulated rematch against deposed former Champion Wladimir Klistchko and that today's talk of a confirmed June 4 date in Austria is just that until everything is done.

Rumours that the fight is practically a done deal emerged after Nicola Pattberg, a representative of KMG (Klitschko Management Group), told the Austrian paper Kleine Zeitung that: “We are in negotiations, but for confidential reasons, we can't give out any more information at this stage.”

Speculation of a June date is now swirling around alongside talk that it will take place in Austria, where Klistchko trains, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

When it is finally done and dusted, they will have a rematch of their November encounter in Dusseldorf, which Fury won on points to become the leading heavyweight.

Despite being stripped of the IBF belt, Fury remains the man to beat in the sport's flagpole division.

IBF holder Charles Martin meets London's Anthony Joshua next month while Lucas Browne took the WBA belt from Ruslan Chagaev via a dramatic 10th-round RSF win earlier this month to set up an interesting run of fights in a division that is starting to catch fire again.  WBC holder Deontay Wilder is also seeking a showdown with Fury following their recent heated face-to-face meeting.
