Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom - In by far the toughest fight of his career, Carl Frampton (16-0, 11KOs) stopped Kiko Martinez (27-4, 19KOs) in the ninth round to capture the EBU super bantamweight crown. The fight was very physical and Martinez never stopped coming and even had some very good moments. Frampton was coming on strong in the second half of the fight. In the ninth, Martinez went down from a hard combination. He made it up but he was unable to get his legs steady and was wobbling all over the place, forcing the referee to wave it off.

Lee Selby (14-1, 5KOs) continues his big run by retaining the British/Commonwealth title with a dominating twelve round beating of Martin Lindsay (20-2, 7KOs). The scores were 118-110, 117-111 and 118-109. Lindsay was active, but he wasn't as accurate as Selby, who landed often and did a lot of damage in the twelve round contest.

In his first fight since last June's TKO loss to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Andy Lee (29-2, 20KOs), now trained by Adam Booth, won a ten round decision over Anthony Fitzgerald (13-4, 4KOs). The sole score was 98-94. Lee got a much tougher challenge than expected from Fitzgerald.

Middleweight Eamonn O'Kane (9-1, 3KOs) won a six round decision over Gary Boulden (7-6). The sole score was 59-56.

Super middleweight contender Callum Smith (3-0, 1KO) stopped Tommy Nolan (4-14) in the first round with a left hook. He returns on March 30 at Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Former EBU middleweight champion Grzegorz Proksa (29-2, 21KOs) returned to win six round decision over Norbert Szekeres (13-21). The sole score was 60-54. It was Proksa's first win since last year's beating at the hands of WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin. He returns on March 23rd at Turning Stone Casino in New York against Osumanu Adama (20-3, 15KOs).

Heavyweight fan favorite Martin Rogan (15-3, 7KOs) won a four round decision over Ladislav Kovarik (10-13). The sole score was 40-36. He returns on February 23rd at York Hall for the next Prizefighter tournament.
