Yes, it is a phenomenon. I think Bourdain saw that Kate Spade ended her seemingly glamorous and affluent life by hanging herself and thought “maybe that’s not such a bad idea” or not. Anyway I’ve been watching eps of “Parts Unknown” on Netflix lately. The guy was very charismatic, funny, ironic, irreverent and was great at connecting with people. I’d love to be like that.
