Here's what Jacobs had to say about his relationship with Al Haymon. I will just assume you pulled that Eddie Hearn quote straight out of your @ss, which is incredibly g@y if you ask me:

I just pulled it out my what?

Hearn has full control on those two now. There is a reason you won't see the Watson boys or Sam Watson himself walk them to the ring or be with them during fight week.

Now, does Haymon still get a check? Not sure about those details, but Haymon is no longer running the show for those two. Hearn is making the call of who they fight and when they fight and what network they fight on. Haymon is a non-factor in their careers now. I'm fully aware of what Jacobs said but it doesn't take a rocket science to know what is going on now.

His team would be doing a big disservice to him if they don't take some sort of percentage upside or don't end up with at least $25 million this time around. And no chance it takes place on DAZN as Hearn wanted. Wilder's side will want it on SHO PPV where they could make additional 5-6 million on it.
And what do you know, Shelly just said since Hearn himself said the fight will be bigger in April, that they won't settle for the 15 million flat fee. They will take a much bigger guarantee or a percentage this time around.

Yeah, I kind of know what the hell I'm talking about..........

What is their leverage? Um, the fact that Hearn and Joshua will get absolutely DESTROYED if the fight doesn't happen next? No more mandatory excuse will fly in April. Trust me, Hearn cost himself some money by waiting until April. Wilder's side knows Joshua has no out this time and will eventually cave in. Kind of like GGG knew Canelo's side will have to take the fight in September so they waited until the last minute for the best possible offer.

Also expect Hearn to say we will give more money up as long as the fight is on DAZN. That will be another talking point. Don't believe me? Just bump this thread as we get to December or January when they are negotiating this fight. I know my boxing *****........

Joshua has plenty he can do Fury, Usyk/Gassiev winner, Whyte 2, Miller. Wilder dont bend over he still wont get the fight, doesnt have any good options either, his queue has Breazeale, Kownacki and Charles Martin in it.

Destroyed eh? That sounds serious. So let's see what form would this destruction take? Loss of commercial partnerships? No, that's not going to happen, instead you'll see AJ signing more deals, appearing on more commercials and continuing to build a sporting brand that's going to earn him tens of millions of dollars a year, every year, for many many years past the end of his career.

Wilder's side knows Joshua has no out this time and will eventually cave in.
Will he struggle to get opponents as the boxing world recoils from his failure to face Wilder? No, that won't happen either. Instead he'll continue to be the boxing equivalent of a golden ticket with each and every HW in world boxing desperate to land a fight with him and earn 10 or 20 times their usual purse in the process as he banks 20-30m and rising as his burgeoning commercial contracts kick in.

Will he struggle to get a platform to perform on? No, that won't happen. He'll continue to reign supreme on Sky in his home domestic market whilst no doubt having the option to make millions from DAZN or just take his pick of the other platforms who will all be desperate to do business with him.

Perhaps he'll lose his massive global fanbase? No, that won't happen. They will watch his promoter wipe the floor with Wilder's team as he has done repeatedly due to his grasp of modern communication methods and superior verbal skills.

Will some fans of Wilder start angry threads here and elsewhere on social media? Will a few tame journalists write condemnatory pieces that singularly fail to make note of the woeful state of Wilder's own resume?

Now you're talking. Yes, this will happen. It will damage AJ's massive career earnings by the square root of **** all. That's the limit of the destruction that will actually happen. Absolutely **** all and Hearn, AJ, and Team Wilder know it.

Nope. Fury fight isn't happening anytime soon. Late 2019 at the earliest. Fury at this pace will find a decent top 10 guy by April of 2019.

Wilder isn't the A-side so he won't get the brunt of the abuse from the general public. If GGG/Canelo rematch didn't happen in April, it wouldn't have been GGG getting killed, it would have been Canelo.

Usyk/Gassiev winner? Really? REALLY? REALLLLY? Give me a break, not happening.

                Miller? Nope.....

Whyte 2 will work since the UK public loves overrating Whyte.

But the heat will be on for this fight to take place in April. They can't drag it on any longer. It didn't take a rocket science to see what is going on during this negotiation and why Hearn preferred the fight in April.....But the downside for him delaying this fight is it was going to cost him in the next negotiations. Just remember this thread and post when you start hearing about one of the things holding the fight up is Hearn wanting to put it on DAZN. Then you will hear him say we obliged to their monetary demands and they aren't budging on the network!!! Wilder doesn't have a contract with SHO, why can't he fight on DAZN????????

Again, I know my boxing *****.....This is going exactly how I said it would.....and when the negotiations for the fight in April happen, it will go exactly as I'm predicting it.

Do you think the two are even remotely comparable?

Canelo was already compromised as the beneficiary of one of the most notorious scorecards in boxing history in a previous fight with GGG.

Canelo had a fight arranged and then tested positive. So doubly compromised.

Canelo may have been the A side due to fanbase but GGG was the belt holder and HOF in waiting. So the financial a side is Canelo but the boxing a side is GGG. Whereas AJ is the financial a side and also brings the multiple belts of the unified champ.

Finally, Canelo is vulnerable to pressure from US journalists etc in a way that AJ isn't.

I didn't say it was exactly the same, but yes it was similar. Canelo technically had other options to and would have sold decent amount of PPVs against someone like Jacobs, but the general public was going to kill him if the fight didn't happen. And at one point when they made the 42% offer, that was perfectly reasonable but it still wouldn't have mattered.

GGG has the HOF waiting? Canelo certainly will as well with his current path. Heck, resume' wise what exactly does GGG have over him? Jacobs? Canelo can counter that with Lara. So the HOF isn't it. Both will likely get in one day.

Joshua may not fight in the states, but he would have gotten killed by US journalists and that affects Hearn's DAZN product. They would have blamed Hearn and do you think that is what he needs when he has two years to show his bosses that DAZN/Matchroom partnership is one that will be success for years to come?

You bringing up titles and financial side with Joshua is irrelevant. Everyone knows he is the A-side. Who exactly is arguing otherwise? But you can't sell everyone April as the date for the big showdown and then all of a sudden say well I have the titles and generate more money so I could fight someone else. At that point he is going to start hearing it from the UK journalists and the public in general.

Again, just sit back and see how this all unfolds when the next negotiations start up again. I'm very confident in what I'm predicting.

I'll happily defer to your knowledge of the US market but I can guarantee you are a million miles wrong in your reading of the UK and that's the primary source for AJ's earnings. The people that will fill the stadia in Sept and April don't really care if Wilder is there or not. It's not even the biggest fight that AJ could make here, Fury would be a much bigger fight in the UK, although not in global terms.

If there's no agreement Hearn will get busy talking up:
Miller/Whyte 2/Parker 2/Pulev/Hughie or Tyson Fury etc. and the UK public and his broadcaster will lap it up. He's a massive brand here now, on his way to Jordan or Lebron status. Wilder's got very little profile outside the more dedicated boxing fans.
