Amanda Nunes has her next title defense lined up.
The two-division champion defends her 145-pound belt next against Megan Anderson on Dec. 12 at UFC 256. MMA Fighting confirmed the bout with sources following a report by ESPN. The location will be announced at a later date.
The fight marks the second defense of featherweight champion Nunes (20-4), who also holds the UFC’s bantamweight championship. She successfully defended the featherweight title against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 in June, winning a commanding unanimous decision to become the first fighter to successfully defend UFC titles in two separate divisions.
Nunes has also successfully defended her bantamweight title five consecutive times. She is currently on an 11-fight win streak dating back to September 2014.
A former Invicta FC champion, Anderson (11-4) won three of her last four fights to earn her shot at Nunes. The Australian fighter has scored back-to-back first-round finishes of Norma Dumont and Zarah Fairn.
