I don't feel like it's fair to break up a fight if a guy has a submission sunk in though. If there's no submission happening, then I can see standing a fight back up. Sometimes it takes a while to cinch it in, especially when the opponent is defending the sub well. I believe they allowed more time for the grapplers though, which seemed to even things out. This was back when the Gracies were still submitting people within 5 minutes though, so didn't matter then, but now I can see putting a time limit on grappling. Does UFC still stand fighters up if it gets boring or a stalemate on the ground? Does Bellator?

            ill be very honest alot of those fighters in there are sloppy as hell and you can read what they do a mile away smh

              This appeals to me. I hate overlong clinches and groundwork.

              Hopefully it gets the time to grow and allow similar MA (kung fu, TKD, etc) to get involved.

                Then you're on the wrong forum and watching the wrong sport. Check out some boxing or kickboxing. I heard Glory and K-1 put on some good kickboxing cards.
