Good win for Werdum, but lets not act like those two years of inactivity didn't play a major role. I'm surprised Velasquez team agreed to this fight, dude needs at least two tune ups before he goes after the big guys again

Exactly ,amazing how ppl who THINK they know what they are talking about really dont,Cain beat JDS twice bc it was the only guy there ,capable of beating him ...JDS knocked Werdum out years ago and will probably do so again in a rematch...Cain will fight JDS a 4th time ,they are still the 2 best ,only a fool would take a 2 year rusted Cain as if Werdum was a world beater for getting the win,Cain out struck him ,had octagon control over more than 2 minutes more and 4 takedowns. and it was an even fight before he was subbed they both each won a round prior to the third....this is what the stats had ,in a rematch it would be a very bad fight for Werdum .

Cain will in fact become the champ again in 2017 if he stays healthy. Werdum is stil suspect To me A++ bjj but he is starying to fall inlove with his striking wich is good but he will come across some heavy handed striker and get kod. Hopefully he doesnt fall into the same path Gonzaga did when he started striking to much. A gassed 2 year off cain had jds buzzing a few times
