this isn't good news for the UFC. Viacom is a multi-billion dollar company. This pretty much means that Bellator is backed by more money than any MMA organization ever has(including UFC).

They now have the ability to go after the best of the best MMA fighters out there. My prediction is that at least 1 big name is gonna be bought by Bellator and the UFC is gonna have to dish out like $10mill per fight to their top fighters if they want to keep them. That is just my prediction/opinion.

edit: Forgot that Dubai company has 10% share of the UFC. Yeah UFC still has more money.

They weren't having financial problems per se, but they got what they were looking for; stability. Bellator rellied heavily on hedge fund investors looking to get into the MMA world prior to this deal. So yeah, this is very good news for Bellator.

They'll be on bigger networks, have better production, and have more marketing and viewership than ever before.
