GSP/Silva is still closer to being a reality than Pac/Mayweather.

Anderson Silva fights too. Both fighters' schedules have to be clear for there to be a fight.

If Dana wants to make the fight he can make the fight, this isn't boxing where two guys can so easily duck each other for years because they don't have their boss making them and they can demand ridiculous paydays of $100 million...and still duck opponents.

Alas though, GSP/Silva doesn't need to happen. It does nothing for either fighter since it probably won't even be a title fight.

Wanna know why it hasn't happened yet? Uncle Dana is already pissed because he lost Brock. He doesn't wanna risk losing GSP either.

        Your a ****in idiot.

Boxing NEEDS Mayweather vs Pac. They are in the same weight class and have no other options. GSP & Silva are not in the same weight class but theirs not a dying need for them to fight right now. Both have plenty of contenders in their own division on the come up.

I don't think it's that at all. I think at this point as boring as GSP is, fans would love for GSP to go down.

I think Fedor-Lesnar from a couple of years ago would be a better comparison.

The fight everyone wanted to see, like May-Pac it would be the biggest draw in the US against the best foreign fighter in the world due to ****** contract nonsense.

Generally though the best do fight the best in MMA, at least if they're in the same organisation.

Ducking and not facing someone due to divaish reasons seem more common in boxing.

MMA has missed big time already.

              We missed Fedor-Randy and Chuck-Wanderlei.

GSP-Silva is another miss, but I really think the difference is too big. GSP is like 5'9 or 10, and Silva is a solid 6'2". Not to mention that Anderson is a solid 15 pounds larger and has fought comfortably at 205.

As for why Dana isn't bashed for it? Simple. The MMA media is garbage. They're all scared of having their credentials pulled by Uncle Fester

Because Dana is a moron who doesn't want to lose GSP's aura of invincibility even though he doesn't realise that Anderson destroying GSP would not be a shame to GSP at all.
He's full of crap when he claims the UFC puts on the fights that the fans want because this would be the biggest fight in UFC history but he doesn't want to pull the trigger.

It will happen. There's too much money in it for Dana not to make the fight.
