Yeah, that fight looked like every other Jon Jones fight. It went exactly like Matyushenko, Vera, Hamil etc. I dunno what I was thinking callimg him hesitent. He showed no respect for Bader's power at all.

He was scared of Bader's hands. All I'm saying is if he gives Shogun the same respect it will not work as well.

I don't know how "hesitant" translated to being "backed up". I can't give you an example, but I never made any claims of Bader doing anything right.

Stylistically bad for Shogun? Rampage, Rogerio Nog, Namekawa, Randleman, and Coleman are all grapplers. Of course these guys arn't Bones Jones, but his striking is whats unorthodox. His wrestling is very much a Dan Gable style. Good low Freestyle take downs and good Greco-Roman throws. It's a little difficult to judge his Catch in guard given he hasn't shown us much, but going off the submissions I'd assume he's more comfortable with Greco-Roman chokes. Until I see him go for a knee bar or ankle lock or something I'm going to assume these holds are more difficult for him. Shogun matches these skills sets with Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Muay Thai tosses are similar to Greco-Roman throws. BJJ is similar to Catch Wrestling. The stand up game is Orthodox Muay Thai vs Unorthodox ? elbows Jones doesn't really have any training in a specific striking sport.

Who has he fought in the UFC other than Machida? Chuck Liddell and Mark Coleman arn't names any more? Who the **** has Jon fought?

Rua has gaping holes? Your ****ing right. IMO the fight comes down to gaping. If Jon goes out there and hesitates, or worse throws an uncommitted strike like that half assed knee that backed up Bader, he may be neutralizing his biggest asset, and Mauricio's biggest flaws.
