[HOLY S**T!] UFC President Dana White Announces Chuck Liddell’s Official Retirement

UFC president Dana White has been calling for former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell’s retirement for quite some time.

Following back-to-back knockout losses to Rashad Evans and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, White had declared that Liddell was done. “The Iceman” talked him into another shot in the Octagon. Liddell was unceremoniously knocked out by Rich Franklin at UFC 115, making that five losses in six fights, four of those losses by way of knockout.

White had seen enough. He calls Liddell his friend, and wanted his fried to hang up the gloves. Liddell finally agrees with him.

White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, at Wednesday’s UFC 125: Resolution prefight press conference, finally made Liddell’s retirement from fighting official, but surprised many by announcing him as a member of the company’s elite executive team.

Finally. Thank goodness, for Lidell's sake and for the fans, for not having to see him get knocked out or stopped in the cage anymore.

Hear, hear. Chuck was a fight fans fighter. So many guys now days talk a big game but don't back it up, or they say that they're gonna go in and "bring it hard for 3 rounds" and fail to deliver. Or the always laughable cliche of "it's gonna be a total war and I'm gonna Knock him out!" and then try their best to avoid any conflict and subject us to a boring fight. When the Iceman said he was gonna try KO his opponent, he meant it and he always went in and tried his hardest to do just that no matter who he faced. Thanks Iceman.

Who wants to bet he isn't totally done? He may even think he is right now, but id be willing to bet my left arm that he fights again at some point!
