I think there’s some fights ahead of him that we would love to promote, he just came off a pretty brutal fight with K.J., so let him rest till the beginning of the year, and we can start having conversations about his next opponent, maybe the turning of 2011.”

Cesar Gracie (Nick Diaz’s manager) spoke with MMAJunkie about Mayhem Miller’s challenge:

“There’s no doubt Miller is a very good fighter; anybody who can go five rounds with Jake Shields is a good fighter, but his record for his last five fights is not really something to boast that much about. It’s not really a win-win situation for Nick to go to 185 just because Miller is just making a challenge.

If you want to call out the champion, that means you’re prepared to go to his weight, if you’re not prepared, don’t call him out. If he just wants to fight Nick, come by the academy and Nick will oblige him on the spot, at any weight.”

Let me ask you this question? Who the hell else is there for Nick to fight?? Who the hell is in the SF WW division?? Scott has to say it cuz its his promotion but theres no good fights for Nick. He shouldnt have to move up to 185 or do a catchweight.

Melendez, Diaz, both these guys need to get over that loyalty bull**** if there gonna keep yapping about rankings and wanting to fight the best, especially Meledez's delusional a$$ thinking he's the number two LW in the world.

Stop playing games and head for the UFC if not, have fun fighting rematches and catchweights that both guys dont care about. Meledez doesnt want Alvarez and Alvarez dont want Meledez, they both want the man whos got the UFC gold, same with Nick
