Being a Brit with Dan Hardy in my avatar I might not be the best positioned person to say this, but I really would prefer it if UFC 120 was a bit more of an international event talent-wise. If you look at the British UFC events of the past you see big names defending world titles and also some great fights. But then over time they've made it more and more a Brit-oriented card.
I know it's on tape delay in the US and the next big card is only one week later, but it would've been nice to have something significant on the card, or even a few exciting foreign fighters. Bisping-Akiyama is a solid fight, certainly I prefer it over Couture-Vera, but there's nothing happening at UFC 120 that sets it apart from one of those UFC Fight Night cards that take place mid-week every month or so.
As a boxing fan I dislike the nationalism and racial-bias that a lot of fans of the sport have. The Wlad fans tend to be white, the Floyd fans tend to be black, the Margarito fans tend to be Mexican etc. One thing I like about MMA is that this is less prevalent (it exists, but not to the same extent IMO). But it seems that Dana has been doing his best to create a UK star in recent years, having the UK vs USA TUF series, giving Hardy a title shot that he didn't really earn, giving Bisping formerly successful big names in the hopes that they'll be past-prime enough for him to beat them and build a name for himself off of it etc.
