Do you see anyone else at 155 beating Penn?

With Edgar-Maynard happening next and BJ having already beaten a lot of the guys in the division, who would you like to see him face next and do you see him as the second best guy in the division, someone who just faced a bad style match-up, or is his performance an indicator that he's not the fighter he once was?

The 'who do you want him to face next?' question is limited to UFC fighters as that is realistically who he'll be fighting, but feel free to name fighters from other organisations when it comes to who you think would get the better of him.

I know I stated 155 in the title, but just to go ahead and contradict myself I'd like to see him against Nate Diaz, who hasn't been at WW too long and has the kind of stand-up and BJJ that would test just how good BJ Penn is at this point in time. My second choice would be Clay Guida, who I'd expect to lose to Penn in an entertaining fight.

Kinda looked to me that maybe BJ is done. I dunno, but his eyes told the story before the fight.

Maynard another gsp wouldnt watch him fight even if they paid me, and he will beat penn.penn is over rated. no1 worth wild in that div he just beat other over rated fighters (sanchez, sherk, kenny) edgar proved penn boxing is not that good he to slow he just never fought n e 1 with good hands.

i'd like to see penn fight sotiropolous, he has good boxing and jiu - jitsu. i think penn has made his name off overrated guys, dirty sanchez will never get anywhere near a belt in any weight class, neither will joe daddy stevenson. he's a little like roy jones, he looks great dominating B level fighters and garbagemen

Probably Maynard and I don't really see Sotiropoulos standing a chance against Penn.

I think Bj Penn's striking and BJJ are far superior to Sotiropoulos. I think a fight with Bj Penn and Sotir would end up like the Florian or the first fight with Hughes. Sotir getting taken down and not having a clue what to do against Penn. Just my opinion of course.

So your writing off BJ Penn because of his last two fights against a guy that was a superior striker? George's striking skills are no where near Frankie Edgar's. His striking is also too slow for BJ and his BJJ is not as good as BJ's. George doesn't have anything in his arsenal that is gonna keep BJ Penn off of him or from taking him down. IMO BJ Penn defeats George by submission or George ending up like Sean Sherk with a knee in his face.

                    The point of this thread:

I guess it's time for Penn to settle into his new role of gatekeeper.
