We disagree, man. He made some remarks to the effect that the card was boring, but he didn't do so with malicious intent. Some posters got reactionary, but this was, in my opinion, unfounded. He posted the thread simply to reach out and gauge some opinions. I can't fault the man, he paid his hard earned bucs to see some fights, and was disappointed with what he saw. This wasn't an MMA vs boxing thread, it was simply a man sharing his dissatisfaction. If you disagree with his points than that is one thing, but reactionary action is never a good thing. This dude should be allowed to present his views without having his thread closed, imho.

I thought the card was damn awful aswell, even the Edgar/Penn fight where there where hardly any takedowns.

Diaz and Lauzon fights were the only good ones.

I agree with closing that thread. It wasn't just an opinion about that card, it was an opinion on the entire sport. He was hating plain and simple.

The Edgar-Penn fight wasn't really that enjoyable for me either.

Maybe it's because I was hoping Penn would win (the equally unsurprised by the result).

I guess it's just slightly frustrating when a fighter your backing is unable to get off.

It wasn't a bad fight though, I was just looking for Penn to land more.
