I agree. Maynard is an example of the potential future of MMA, which is boring wrestling matches. Wrestling neutralizes everything. It neutralizes strikes and jiu-jitsu. These wrestlers just completely numb the mind of the people watching the fight.

The scoring system has to change.

It's not even the fact that he wrestles his opponents down and barely does any damage but its also his striking that disgusts me. The only punch he throws is his over hand right with no jab, no set up, no other combinations. Dare I say Gomi may be the one to take him out if he gets the chance?

I believe Maynard would try to stand with Gomi until towards the end of the rounds to score BS take-down-than-do-nothing points. Take downs should not score if the fighter can not work off from it! Submission attempts should be scored!
