I want a sweet debate here. Let's keep it cool ya'll!
But what does is mean when a lot of you call Lesnar a hype job? Do you think he's overrated and just not that good? Or he's a hype job because Dana hypes him up as this big bad unstoppable reckoning machine and that's just too much hype on him? I EXTREMELY disagree with the first opinion, but agree with the second opinion.
I think he is overhyped but definitely not overrated. I find it funny how SOME of the people that call him overrated thought Carwin was this legit #1 contender and was suppose to destroy Brock and make quick work of him. A hype job doesn't show the heart and desire for survival that Lesnar showed in that 1st round. I think a hype job covers up and call it a night. Lesnar did everything he could do to survive and that's a champions trait IMO being able to survive and overcome adversity.
Don't think I'm a nuthugger because I'm not, is he that great? Not yet but maybe, we don't know yet but I think he's done enough to at least drop the label of WWE hype job. he beat Carwin, he beat Mir(definitely top 10 in most peoples top 5 guys) and Herring who was a top 15 heavyweight at the time. He's not one of my favorite fighters but I dont hate him either. I think he's a solid Heavyweight that's really working hard. It's not like Kimbo or Lashley and I can respect that. But answer me this please. If he does beat Cain, which I think he doesn't actually, does he finally get the respect as one of the best heavyweights in the world or will the haters still hate?
What are your thoughts? I just don't get the hate. I hate having to stand up for him because he isn't a favorite fighter of mine but I kind of think the hate is just borderline hating and disrespectful right now.
