Nodogoshi a post with very little hate i like it so i'll reply to you in kind.
i've posted a few vids of Brocks ground game when he fights someone he knows has sub skills, Frank Mir a BJJ Blackbelt got worked on the ground where he wanted the fight to go, brock gave mir Zero room to try and sub him; brock stayed close an still beat the hell out of him.
i think he would do the same to fedor.
Fedor fought wrestlers b4 but none of the calibre of brock, he's stronger,faster and more explosive then anyone Fedor fought so i'd give the Advantage to Brock.

He took a Crocop left highkick to the side of his head which cut him open and didn't even appear phased by it. Also, you keep bringing up Rogers. Rogers caught him with a jab and busted open his nose in the opening moments of the fight. He never knocked him down or anything as you tend to claim. Fedor weathered Roger's early onslaught, and Rogers was gassed out by the second round. Does that sound familiar?

Now lets see what happened when Brock got caught with a punch:


He turtled up and turned tail, basically tried to hide in the corner. Fedor is a much better standup fighter than Carwin or Lesnar, with Carwin clearly the much better of the two. That doesn't mean that Lesnar couldn't potentially get Fedor down and work his ground and pound, and no question Brock would be a difficult guy for anyone to get off. Fedor is not taken down too easily though and he would probably snuff Brock's initial takedowns at the very least. Brock would pose a difficult challenge for Fedor, but I think Fedor clearly has the tools to beat him. Based on the styles, I think Carwin would be an easier fight for Fedor for several reasons. I have to favor Fedor over either guy though. As I've said, Lesnar poses a difficult test for anyone, but he is far from unbeatable. Fedor is a much better fighter, it is simply the difference in size and strength which makes it seemingly a fairly even fight.

I don't get it personally...in the first round, Brock was unable to take down Carwin. Brock was unable to land any strikes on Carwin. Brock did well to survive on his back but didn't show much in the way of actual skills IMO.

Despite all of that, people are still talking about him being some unstoppable takedown machine.

brock looked small....he lost a ton of muscle

alll i know is carwin did well and probably should have won if he didnt gas out

He looked fine to me. There were two really good shots, but Brock barely looked hurt, only dazed. He covered most of his head with just his forearm lol.

I think if brock was on top punching carwin the ref would have stopped it... but either way it shouldnt of been stopped and lesnar really pulled away.

Im sure the whole gameplan for lesnar's camp was just to get out of the first round and wrestle him on the ground until he was completely drained.

Thats pretty much my point. Brock being who he is, is what saved the fight from getting stopped. He most definitely recieved that NBA 'superstar' treatment.

Yes Brock looked a bit smaller, but he had more muscle and less fat.
Conditioning won Brock the fight.

As far as Why did Brock try to stand with Shane, all fights start standing, only a fool would rush into Carwin trying for a take down. Brock did what he had to do, both were checking each other out. Brock threw a couple of straight rights that missed, but had one landed it would have hurt Carwin.

In the end, after it was all said and done.

Superstar treatment? Give me a ****ing break, its the biggest fight the UFC can possiblly put on, the Heavyweight Title.. that is why the fight was not stopped, the referee did an outstanding job and although lesnar took alot of shots when you watch closely alot of the shots were being deflected. You wish the fight was stopped early because of your dislike for lesnar but be honest with yourself the correct call was clearly made.
