What do you guys think of Jacare? I think his bjj is great (obviously) but his standup is rough around the edges and seems to have stamina issues as well. Where does he train? Here in the states or back in brazil?

Jacare is a ****ing beast, man.
The dude started off as a pure BJJ guy and became literally one of the all time best...
I think he started his MMA career training with XGym in Brazil, and he relied heavily on his grappling early on. When he moved his fight game out of Brazil he trained at Xtreme Couture for a bit, until his loss to Gegard Mousasi. He's now training with Black House, so you better believe that the dude is going to make huge improvements in his stand up.
Personally, I couldn't believe how he was man-handling Mousasi until the ****er landed that beautiful up kick. Jacare also seems to carry a lot of power in his hands naturally, he'll be scary if he can improve his boxing enough.
The only thing I really question on Jacare is his chin... He was KTFO by Mousasi with a monster shot, but he was also KTFO by Jorge Patino in his first fight by some weird punch that didn't look all that hard.
That's all I've got brotha

Jacare is a future champion in SF. Dude has very underrated hands, relentless GnP, explosive takedowns and the best BJJ in MMA right now. No question.
He just needs to tune up his boxing and work on his conditioning. He's already a force at MW right now, IMO. Within a year he'll be contending for the title in SF

But he trained some months with members of Team Nogueira(what people wrongly call "blackhouse") in Brazil, mostly with Anderson and Rogerio.
he still trains 90% of the time at the Xgym.

He needs to fight for the title. He's the best middleweight in strikforce, he'd destroy Jake Shields.
Screw best BJJ in MMA, ATG in the world! In his first KO lost he just lacked basic boxing fundamentals like keeping your chin tucked and keeping your hands down. He will improve being at black house. I think he has all the potential to be an MMA great. I think he beats Anderson.

He's gonna be daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn good, right now I'd say he's an easy high top 15 or low top 10 in the middleweight rankings.
His BJJ is ****in phenomanol, his striking is improving, and he's extremely explossive and strong! He's also got very good wrestling and Judo to go along with those BJJ skills. Once he tightens up his striking and ups his cardio...there will be no one at 185 who'd be able to take him...yes, I'm also referring to Anderson Silva here.
