I think that a high skilled heavy boxer would do much better with this limited training than a Light Boxer. I could see a heavy boxer becoming a contender, even with the limited training...

A boxer like Floyd wouldn't only need to learn new skills, he would need to learn how to adapt his boxing skills to MMA. Re learn on how to use his footwork, stance, distance, etc. I can't see him succeeding.

MMA lacks talent at the heavy divisions... a lot of brawlers / unidimensional guys there. So if that boxer avoided some tuff match in the beginning he could succeed while gaining time to keep improving.

But at the light divisions there's too much talented / well rounded fighters. They can fight anywhere and the majority would be able to put Floyd on his back... or even a guard pull followed by sub/sweep. Also, 3 leg kicks and there goes his boxing stance... lol.

He isn't a power puncher, so his strength in boxing wouldn't serve him well enough to win bouts imo.

if floyd only had to fight 12 minutes that means he could bulk up and use roiids like all the mma guys too
