Shogun will be the one who is prepared, to leave it out of the hands of the judges. The idea that Machida had an off night or that Machida can improve between the two fights is pure mythology in my opinion. I'm not necessarily expecting a Shogun stoppage, although it wouldn't shock me, but I am expecting him to show his superiority. Not that he didn't do so in the last fight. Shogun is the superior fighter, and I believe he will win more convincingly the next time around.

Shogun needs to step up the aggression but be careful not give machida what he wants, a come forward brawler type guy so lyoto can lack back and counter. it's a tough mix of attack and defense against a guy like machida, i do think though, the first fight showed us muay thai has shotokan's number
