I think it would make the sport funnier if you could only be on the ground for 2 minutes each round and other then that have to stand up!

well, there already are rules that prevent stalemate "hugging" from taking place too long.
groundfighting in mma can be very very long, in which case it is more of a battle of endurance and less superior technique that wins.
sometimes, i definitely feel that there needs to be a "reset" of sorts. those are the times when both fighters are tired, and really are not even looking to do anything resembling a sub.
and i dont wanna hear any b*tching and moaning, because i am not an unexperienced arm chair critic. i am just calling it as i see it.
