If a fighter's chin lost all resistance to the point where featherfisted Nogueira can knock you down twice, you're pretty much over the hill.

I personally don't understand why to make 6 fight deal in Randy's situation. He could make more than enough money by being a trainer and he's still healthy, couple of more hard punches to the head and that might not be the case anymore. Why to take a risk of becoming a punch drunk when you've had a great career and are being one of the biggest faces of the sport?

You guys are sorta dumb; no offence.
Liddell was KNOCKED DEAD multiple times. Couture has been stopped, but never as dramatically/viciously as Liddell has suffered. Moreover, Chuck has been kept salaried by ZUFFA, LLC., even though he does nothing besides get scheduled to sign autographs in Ohio for the WECŪ card that was postponed. Couture, if let loose, will go fight for Strikeforce to have his dance with Fedor. And you think people won't watch that? Like I said, you guys are sometimes really dumb and short-sighted. ZUFFA, LLC. has to keep Couture on contract, to keep him from bolting and fighting Fedor at a competitor's promotion.

They say strength is the last thing to go and it's going
His speed is already gone, his chin doesn't seem as good as it once was (Nog isn't exactly a power puncher), he is getting weaker, his striking is getting sloppier
Well he'll be a good stepping stone for younger fighters

If he didn't have a chin he wouldn't have been able to survive the storm after being knocked down, and then G&P'ed.
What the **** are you talking about?
Anyone can be knocked down, this isn't boxing. You get caught off balance a lot more in MMA.
Nog looked excellent in this fight, and Couture was also impressive.
Is there really any shame in losing to one of the sport's greatest heavyweights of all time? It was a great fight, Nog was just the better man.
Although I don't see the point of signing Randy for 6 fights, he's proven that he can give anyone a run for their money. I'd like to see him drop down to 205 where he gives up less physical advantages.
