John David Jackson, who is 46 years old, knocked Tito Ortiz out cold in sparring

TRAVIS HARTMAN: How do you feel when you hear people say UFC guys are tougher than professional boxers?

ALLAN GREEN: They need to check their sources. If they (UFC) were so tough, then why weren’t they boxing before UFC came around? Because they were not talented enough, that’s why. Prime example is when my trainer, John David Jackson, who is 46 years old, knocked Tito Ortiz out cold in sparring. He is 46 years old and they were just sparring. I mean, come on man!

Compelling argument, sadly untrue. Most were into other forms of martial arts, and many actually were boxers so... he's just a dumbass...

Tito always has trouble in training. When him and Chuck were training partners Tito couldn't handle Chuck and had to stop the sparring numerous times because he was getting hurt. He also got KTFO (according to Miletich, Hughes & Liddell) by Lee Murray when he was over for UFC 38.

Tito has never been a stand-up fighter. Jackson on the other hand is a former world titlist with 36 pro wins and 20 KOs against 4 losses to his name.

Still an interesting tid bit about Jackson knocking Tito out cold.

So knocking someone out in sparring means you're tougher?

No, it means one of two things. The person you're sparring has a glass jaw or the person who KO'd him is trying way too hard.

So a professional boxer is a better boxer than someone who is not a professional boxer. Shocking!

that is so ******ed. its like some ppl don't like to think. its like poison to them or something.

Tito has zero striking skills. that is why he hasn't done well the last couple of years. He is done as an mma fighter because he is too one dimensional.

and the argument "why weren't they boxers if they were so tough" is so god damn fcuked. Its like saying "if boxers are so talented, why don't they play baseball". such a dumb statement.

Tito's boxing was never great. He recently announced he would be training with Freddie Roach though so it should improve.
