Dude was never hot, I really dont see the big deal about him, he looks like another ok middleweight to me with credit given to the ninja and gono fights. He's a good fighter but not a great one in my opinion.

I never thoguht he would roll through the division but I didn't think he would be that sloppy. The guy was tired and basically gave that sub away like that. It was a shame cos he wasn't hurt at all during the fight and just seemed to want to grind out a points win rather than turn up the heat which is where he has always been at his best. Belcher was smart enough to realise it and seized the moment. Good for him. Shame for Kang.

Callin' me out, eh? With all due respect to Belcher, Kang should have won that fight. The guy has been off since his loss to Misaki. You don't go 20+ wins straight in MMA without being great. Something was just off.

I can see why people including myself held him so highly. I mean his run in Pride was phenomenal and mentally he wasn't right for his fight with Misaki with his girlfriend passing away. I mean the Ninja victory was huge at the time due to the fact that Ninja had been in there at HW, LHW and MW and had never been finished like that before or since. Plus Murilo had jus gone the distance with Filho, and had lost possibly the most controversial decision in Pride to Rampage, and had gamely fought Arona and Randleman going the distance and being stopped on a cut respectively. He was a great fighter, but where that great fighter has gone is yet to be seen. The jury is still out IMO. His recent losses aren't like Shogun's in that he hasn't looked good at all, he's looked good but slips up too easily alost to the point where it makes me think that deep down he doesn't want to be there anymore. If so then it's a real shame.

My thots xactly although at that point Ninja was actually talented so I wont take that win from him, also he beat Akihiro Gono who is pretty solid himself
