    UFC 96: Jackson vs Jardine?

    I don't get this. Why wouldn't Rampage receive a title shot and why is he fighting against someone who wouldn't really improve his standings? Rampage - Shogun or even Rampage - Henderson, both make more sense to me, I just don't get this.

    Does anyone else understand the reasoning?

    PS: Cool card otherwise. I can't wait to see Hamil-Munoz and Carwin-Gonzaga if they materialize.

    i have no idea why this matchup is being made, probably means that if Rampage wins he gets a shot at Rashad at UFC 100. or it could mean the winner of Machida/Thiago Silva gets the first shot

    Rampage/Jardine better not be the main event though

          Speaking of undercards, why is Fitch-Gono on the undercard of UFC 94? They're fighting under Bonner-Jones. Wtf?

            Have no clue, but I'm not to fussed myself. Jones is touted as a hot prospect with his wrestling background, his youth (his only 21) and his undefeated record. Plus the guys huge at 205lb. And with Bonnar being the gamer he is it should be exciting.

                yeah...i dont know, it seems to me like it would be less marketable to have bonner-jones on the main card. i personally would rather see the fitch/gono fight. it seems like the ufc likes bonner more...could be cause of the famous griffin/bonner fight a few years back.

                  shogun-rampage makes perfect sense to me right now. jardine should fight somebody like bonner
