    Silva News

Wanderlei Silva made a short, three-day promotional tour in Brazil's largest city, São Paulo. During the tour, he took time to shoot some scenes for his upcoming training video (pics 1 and 2 shown with his personal training, Waldemar Guimarães).
Silva's interaction with the fans in the gym (pic 3) and at a party (pic 4) show how he is adored by the people throughout Brazil.

Silva also gave an interview to Bandeirantes Broadcast TV for a documentary about the evolution of the MMA in Brazil (pic 5). Never one to rest, Wanderlei then made a special guest appearance on Brazil's top rated sports television program (pics 6 and 7) where he had the opportunity discuss the 2003 Pride FC Grand Prix and the growth of MMA in his country.

Silva's promotional tour concluded after one more interview with IPC TV of Japan (pic 8) where the champion discussed his plans to fight in the USA and Japan in 2004. He also discussed his January promotional tour in the U.S. with scheduled stops in LA and Las Vegas. This will be Wanderlei's opportunity to meet and greet American fans and media.

Now the champion will take the rest of 2003 off to rest and vacation on a cruise with his family. Silva will return to training on January 5th.

"Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2004 for everyone, better than 2003, that was the best year in my life." -Wanderlei Silva, the Pride FC middleweight champion and 2003 Grand Prix champion.

Yeah, he's probably wishing he was single in pic 4. I hope 2004 is just as good.
