The Beast Dan Severn faces Maddog
Mathias "Maddog" Hughes is well known across Canada and has faced 2 world amateur boxing champions and Seattle's Dennis Hallman in MMA competition in the past. He was a finalist in Survivor 2001, an MMA tournament held in Winnipeg. Maddog is noted for his positive attitude and for his entertaining in-ring antics.
"Back in 1993 and 94 when I was turning 18, I idolized Dan Severn in the early UFC's and it is a real honor to compete against him. I have fought any comers from 176lbs. to unlimited class, in boxing, kickboxing and MMA, and there is no quit in this dog. For myself, this is the biggest mountain I have ever tried to climb but I plan on climbing. Tell Dan to bring it on!"
As for The Beast, the record book speaks for itself. Almost 100 State, National, and International Titles and/or records to date. Dan is celebrating his 30th year of domination!!! It was back in 1973 that he won his first national title and he has been a force to be reckoned with ever since. When asked for his comments on Maddog this is what Severn had to say: "Tis the season of giving, and I plan to GIVE Maddog MORE than he bargained for!!!!
The Dec 18 show "Season's Beating's" will be streamed on , and starts at 8pm eastern time. To find out more about The Beast go to
