    K-1 World Grand Prix Final 8

    it's said to take place December 6th, 2008 in Yokohama, Japan

    here's the bracket ....

    Badr Hari vs Peter Aerts
    Errol Zimmerman vs Ewerton Teixeira

    Gokhan Saki vs Ruslan Karaev
    Jerome Le Banner vs Remy Bonjasky



    predictions? thoughts?

    and when'll it be on US time?

    the event begins @ 5 PM .. Japan is I think 15 or so HR's ahead of US time zone, I'll be back later with a conversion.

    I think Badr Hari will get to the final against Bonjasky and win.

      With daylight savings time, Japan is 17 hours ahead of PST. So, 5pm in Japan will be 12am PST in the US, 3am Eastern. At least that should be right.

        well Japan's def a day ahead of the US.

        as right now I type this it's 5:07 PM where im at

        and in Yokohama it's Friday the 5th at 7:08 in the morning

          12.6.08 5:00pm in Japan = 12.6.08 12am PST in the US.

          Technically it is the same day because it starts at midnight here/evening there (It's 17 hours difference, hence not a full day).

                  Aerts and LeBanner meet in the finals and Aerts wins his fourth title.

                  I look forward to the world GP finals each year, but I've been so tired this week I completely forgot it was tonight. I was planning on going to sleep, but now I have to stay up all night watching the stream.

                    no 4th title for Aerts 0-4 on predictions ^

                    love the upsets!

                    Badr comes out and drops Peter in the first 30 seconds

                    gets another knock down in round 2

                    shorty after fight is stopped

                    that's all for now.

                    quarter final 2 Zimmerman advances with a late 3rd round knock down to take a 3 round decision

                    1st Semi Final Hari vs Zimmerman

                    Gokhan Saki wins a 3 round decision .. highlight was a spinning back fist knock down by Saki in round 3

                    Remy Bonjasky gets by Jerome Le Banner when a blocked kick by Le Banner re agrivates an old arm injury .. doctor stops the fight .. Remy wins 3rd round TKO

                    Semi Final 1
                    Hari vs Zimmerman
                    AND
                    Saki vs Bonjasky - Semi Final 2

                    Kimbo Slice commentating at moment. reserve fight #1 up now

                    Hari gets by Zimmerman after trading knockdowns in round 1 .. to win by kayo in round 2

                    Bonjasky wins by 2nd round Kayo over Saki with a flying kick to the ribs

                    Final Hari vs Bonjasky

                    crazy crazy **** .. you gotta check a clip when get a chance

                    Bonjasky gets a knockdown in 1st round with a punch

                    round 2 .. Badr chasing Remy down, Remy goes down but while on the ground Badr throws a couple punches .. as the ref is pulling Badr away he flicks a kick and hits Bonjasky in the head

                    after a lot of turmoil and given a yellow card .. Badr Hari is disqualified.
