Could Vitali Klitschko done well in MMA?

With his size, strength, kickboxing and boxing background, if he was younger of course, could he have done well?

if it stayed on the feet he could get in there with almost anyone in mma imo.
But this isnt a fantasy world, any fighter with common sense wouldnt try and trade with vitali lol.

        Unless you're called Fedor.

Vitali doesn't like to be backed up in the ring, I don't know that beyond kickboxing if he has the personality/heart to be successful in an MMA environment...

Plus a guy that quits in his corner against Chris Byrd is going to tap quickly...

I'd say most top boxers would have great potential in MMA, given proper training (as measured in years, not training camps). They clearly have the heart, fighting spirit, and athletic prowess, so it would seem to me that they simply lack the knowledge/background/physical ability (e.g. muscular memory, etc.).

Also, considering Vitalies kickboxing background, it can be said that he would already be formidable at the stand-up side of things.

Vitaly is one of the few guys in boxing who can actually fight while going backwards, so I dont know what you ranting about, Neil....

Oh wait, I know you for 4 years now, yes I know.

If he had the proper training instead of pure boxing, he'd do well up until Top 10 fighters. He'd get submitted by the Top 9, and knocked out within a minute by Fedor.

If no name bar room brawlers, bum fighters, and pro wrestlers can do well in MMA, then there is no reason why Vitali could succeed with just his boxing skills. The marketing alone would consider his entrance to MMA a success.
