From what I heard, Showtime loaned Elite $1 million to stay afloat. Elite has a certain time they must repay the money or Showtime will own their name and assets. Elite had to take it as they were flat-out broke. Considering they have lost $55 million in 2 years, I'm betting they will fail to repay Showtime.
