    Brock Lesnar?

Why is everyone comparing this guy to top Heavyweights/top 10 P4P fighters all of a sudden? I've been seeing a lot of responses with people saying "Brock Lensar could beat Couture if-", "Brock Lesnar could beat Fedor if-", "Brock could blah blah blah."

Stop comparing him to top Heavyweights, that's the same thing that people did with Kimbo. We haven't even seen if Lesnar can take a clean punch (I sincerely doubt it) yet, and we certainly haven't seen him throw his hands outside of the single straight right that he threw against Herring.

Let's face it, Lesnar has proved to be a great wreslter, he can sit on top of you and put out mediocre damage. (compare the damage he did to an unresponsive Herring underneath him for the entire fight to what ANY Pride/Affliction GNP fighter would have done)

The post fight interview shows that Lesnar is still stuck in his "I AM A SUPERSTAR" ways. Bottom line is that Brock Lesnar is too mentally weak to be the next Heavyweight Champion. Stop riding College Wrestling nuts.

    Lay Pray was his style.

At least he has enough skills and ****** strength to hold his own.....for a while.

I won't get on Lesnars balls, but I won't hate on him either. He's still an unknown quantity, and to beat Herring in only his 3rd MMA fight is admirable.

It's similar to the Kimbo hate. Ok, he's not gonna be a star, but why do people wanna see him get knocked out so bad? He's only earning money for himself.

I'd say it's mostly a product of all the hype, even if he does have potential.

Because he falls into the category of the countless arrogant college level wrestlers who think they can become the champ by sitting on top of someone the whole fight and throwing a couple elbows for a decision.

I like to see the fighters who talk big, but don't have the balls to stand getting KTFO'd.

I sort of agree with you. Brock has shown some heavy hands when he decides to punch, but he seems gun shy when it comes to trading, which is common for wrestlers. Hopefully he can improve his stand up and gain confidence in his striking.

That was his third MMA fight... he is physically capable of going very far in this sport. And your talking about mental thoughness... you dont become Division 1 All American overnight. It takes lots of physical and twice as much mental strength that you can possibly have. The mental toughness argument is pathetic. I can see why you would call it a hype train at this point, i can see that argument because it is only one win. We will see in his future fights, he gained alot of experience last weekend, i see him only getting better.

You obviously don't like Lesnar, and it's obvious you won't give him any credit either. He has had 3 MMA fights, 2 of them vs. Frank Mir and Heath Herring. He beat Herring very convincingly, and he is a veteran of the game. Lesnar is just a "College Wrestler". I can see this going uphill from Lesnar from now on, and you can't really say "It's the same thing they did with Kimbo". Kimbo has no stamina, zero ground skills and will lose to any good fighter he is gonna face. This is not YouTube, this is not some fat bums off the street you pay 20 bucks to fight on YouTube. Kimbo is lucky that he got a bull**** stoppage (which I think it was) against James Thompson. I cannot wait to see Kimbo get ****ed up. Lesnar on the other hand is an accomplished amatuer wrestler, fought Heath Herring and Frank Mir in 2 fights, that alone should rank him much higher than that bum Kimbo.

he is a hype job, that speaks for itself...someone with 2 MMA fights under their belt co-headlining a PPV.....course hes hyped, hes Dana's new money train.

In regards to his talent....well...hes a wrestler, and nothing much more unfortunately, he will produce bored lay and pray fights everytime he steps into the ring, he ll win a few, he ll lose a few (most likely against the BBJ guys as he still leaves his arms and legs in there ALOT).

I dont think i ll become a fan to be honest..to me hes ****y and very boring, i love watching a good BBJ "chess match" type fight, i love watching stand up, i love watch BBJ vs Stand up but his one dimensional right hand then charge and lay on top style is rubbish! but he ll beat alot of guys that way, hes just to big to get off!

I saw that also in the Herring fight...but then again Lesnar seems too smart to fall for it again, I'm thinking he's leaving his leg out to probly bait his opponent into a counter...either that or wants to test himself in predicaments he knows are challenging to him...iono, he just seems that way to me..I mean look at the guy, he's built like a true MMA specimen.
