TATAME team has just talked with Brazilian Top Team Japanese representative, MS Motoko, and she denies the rumors saying that Murilo Bustamante has closed a deal with PRIDE. Murilo, Motoko and PRIDE's president had a meeting a moments ago and they didn't come to a agreement. Murilo did some exigencies, is still waiting for a PRIDE's answer and can be out of August 10th PRIDE GP.. According to Murilo's manager, Marcelo Tetel, that is also negotiating with Pride, in spite of Murilo Bustamante did't do a specific training to this GP, he is in good physical and psychological conditions to substitute Ricardo Arona facing Quinton Jackson. Bustamante trained yesterday doing two 10-minutes-rounds, feeling well.
Truly is that both sides are in a lot of pression. Pride doesn't have much time to find a fighter as good as the ADCC 2003 superfight champion, Ricardo Arona. On the other hand, Brazilian Top Team feels obligated to substitute Arona to maintain its good relationship with the japanese producers and the only guy in good conditions is Murilo. Rogério Minotouro is off due an arm problem and José Mário Sperry broke one finger during a training with Rodrigo Minotauro.
Looks like if Busta doesn't finalize this situation with Pride BTT could be out of the GP, and perhaps be replaced by Ryan or even Renzo Gracie who are already in Japan
